Are their negative implications for having a multicultural country?

It depends on the country and it's culture I think. I came from Germany and adjusted just fine. When someone can't adjust to a new way of life and respect the culture then I believe it will cause problems. People who are not capable of the adjustment might join others like him or her and are more likely to join groups that will work against the country they have come to.
