What makes less sense: bcs determining bowl match-ups or the electoral college in elections?

The electoral college makes sense - make sure there is no "mob rule" or a just a few states determining the whole election. The BCS makes absolutely NO sense - I have been waiting for the rankings since TT lost last night, it is obvious they are having a hard time with it.
