Can i get an 18x contract in the Army National Guard for Special Forces?

I am currently in the process of joining the army national guard and scored high enough for the SF. I would like to go into there SF airborne division. I chose the Guard route because i have a GED and the are less strict about that, but my recruiter admittedly knows nothing about the SF. ive heard about the 18x contract and that its my best shot. Is this available through the guard? should i request it? and if not can i get into the Army not the guard with my scores? ..... thank you
