What do you make of this dream.?

I am standing on a log in a pit of fire. I am petrified, but I manage to jump to safety. All around me people are falling into the fire (which is like lava). It is gruesome and horrible. I particularly remember a guy I went to school with in this dream (he died recently in real life). He looked up at me and his eyes turned completely white before he fell in the lava. It was a very very vivid dream and I woke up with a pounding heart.
